OndaSupply Lab

The live release channel for what comes next.

WidgetStack Next is where new widgets are released early, tested in public, and refined in shorter loops before they move into the main WidgetStack app.

It runs through a self-hosted APK so builds can ship the moment they are ready, without waiting on store approval. Some ideas will evolve quickly. Some will be reworked. Some may never graduate.

That is the point.

Built in public

Stable widgets graduate into the main WidgetStack app once they are ready.

Lab status

Shipping faster, testing earlier, refining in public.

This is not a separate product line. It is the earlier, more experimental stage of WidgetStack.

Current trackLive testing

Direct APK delivery keeps the loop short between build, feedback, revision, and release.

Why it exists

  • Store review slows iteration.
  • Real feedback improves the work faster.
  • The strongest widgets earn their place in the public app.

Current testing cycle

The lab works in short loops.

WidgetStack Next exists to reduce the distance between an idea and real use. A widget does not need to be final to be useful for learning.

Release early

New builds go out as soon as they are ready to be tested, not only when they are polished.

Observe real use

Feedback, friction points, and edge cases show up faster when widgets are used on real home screens.

Refine decisively

The goal is not endless experimentation. The goal is to learn quickly and move the best work forward.

Graduation pipeline

How builds move through the lab.

WidgetStack Next is not just a place to dump betas. It is a process for testing what deserves a public release.

1

Proposed

New ideas begin as rough concepts, experiments, or early design directions.

2

In testing

A build is released through WidgetStack Next so it can be used on real devices.

3

Under revision

Feedback, bugs, and edge cases shape the next pass until the direction feels right.

4

Ready to graduate

Once a widget proves itself, it moves toward a more stable and polished release.

5

Released to WidgetStack

Finished widgets are moved into the public app where everyone can use them.

Lab board

What’s currently being explored.

A mix of proposals, early concepts, and active builds. Some of these will evolve quickly, some will change direction, and some may never move forward.

Status indicates where each item is in the lab pipeline.

Nexus

A screen-forward media concept with a stronger device feel, combining playback controls, display framing, and utility elements into a more complete object.

Symphora Image
In testing

Symphora

A more sculptural and surreal screen-based concept that leans into flowing framing, asymmetry, and a stronger sense of visual drama.

In testing · Currently being tested in WidgetStack Next.

Pulse Bar image
In testing

Pulse Bar

A refined panel-style evolution of Pulse Bar, keeping the long transport-focused layout while pushing it closer to a functional in-app testing build.

Emerging patterns

Directions taking shape across the lab.

As builds evolve, patterns begin to emerge. These are not fixed categories, but recurring directions forming through testing and iteration.

Playful systems

Interfaces that lean into softness, motion, and personality rather than strict utility.

Device-like controls

Dense, tactile layouts that feel like physical objects rather than flat UI.

Ambient glass

Calmer, translucent interfaces focused on atmosphere, light, and subtle depth.

Utility-first structure

Cleaner, more restrained layouts prioritizing clarity, hierarchy, and everyday use.

Experimental forms

Unconventional shapes and interactions that challenge standard widget expectations.
